This waiting list is for Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher rental housing assistance in Monroe County, Indiana.

The Bloomington Housing Authority (BHA) last accepted Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list applications from August 22, 2023, until October 3, 2023. There is no notice when this waiting list will reopen.

To apply while the waitlist was open, applicants were required to complete the online application.

This waiting list had the following preferences: 

• Monroe County Resident (4 points)
• Resident of Surrounding County: Owen, Brown, Greene, Lawrence, Morgan (3 points)
• Head of Household and Spouse, or Sole Member, is Either Elderly or Disabled (2 points)
• Any Member of Household is Disabled (1 point)
• Current Victim of Domestic Violence (2 points)
• Current Member or Veteran of U.S. Military, or Surviving Spouse of a Veteran (1 point)
• Working 35 Hours or More Per Week (2 points)
• Working 20 to 34 Hours Per Week (1 Point)

Selected applicants were placed on the waiting list by date and time the application was received, weighed by order of preferences.
